Building Our House
Book: Building Our House
Author and Illustrator: Jonathan Bean
Even though I don’t have kids that live and breathe All Things Construction, this book was an excellent read!
Building Our House follows a family’s journey as they buy a piece of land (a field!), set up a temporary trailer, and build their home.
Each step of the construction is outlined in a child-friendly way.
As with many great books, the illustrations make the text come alive! Follow along as they adopt a cat, as their family grows, and as the children get older.
Not only does it focus on the construction of the home, but of the joys of building this great feat together with family and friends.
A warm, touching story, based on the author’s early life!
