Welcome back to the Practical Ideas for Homeschooling Moms Blog Hop!
Thank you for visiting our blog hop again today! We are in our 9th week of the Blog Hop, and I absolutely love it. It has been so refreshing to read new-to-me ideas and enjoy homemaking and homeschooling tips.
In an online sea of overwhelming information, the Practical Ideas for Homeschooling Moms Blog Hop provides nuggets of ideas, resources, and helps for the homeschool mom.
Each week, the Blog Hop hosts blog posts that are written by other wives and mothers who have wisdom and experience to share. Find help with choosing curriculum, setting up and maintaining schedules, homeschooling in times of crisis, wisdom from years and years of experience, and more.
Read about various homeschool helps, but also ideas and resources for managing our homes more efficiently.
I can’t wait to personally read every single one of those!
If you’re a blogger, please add your best ideas, resources, and tips for homeschool moms to the link up. We would love to have you!
This link up runs Tuesday morning through Thursday night at 11:59 pm Eastern.
If you’re not familiar with a blog hop, the concept is simple: Bloggers host a link up each week focusing on a particular topic. Readers find new posts and sites to read, and bloggers share their best links.
It’s a marvelous way to find new sites and bloggers that share the topics you’re interested in!
Practical Tip from Mama’s this Week
Each year, I publish a Color Your Own Calendar. This year, I decided to run it concurrently with the Daily Calendar Notebook schedule, which is July 2020-June 2021.
In previous years, it’s run on the calendar year. Since Mom Time is usually run by the school calendar (right?!), it made sense to run this one on the school calendar year as well.
You can take a look at the post here: Color Your Own Calendar 2020-2021.
It comes in three different writing options.
Meet Our Blog Hop Hostesses!
I’m so excited to be on this Blog Hop journey with this set of wise, experienced homeschool moms. Collectively, we have 40+years of homeschooling under our belts and we can’t wait to share all of that you.
We are also excited to learn from the posts that other bloggers will share.
Oh it’s going to be fun!
Weekly Featured Posts
My favorite practical posts from last week’s hop:
Kelly from Hope in the Chaos shares a neat way to think through buying next year’s curriculum.
She has a 4 step plan to lead you through the (sometimes) messy process of buying homeschool curriculum.
Also, this Bible study from Sallie caught my eye.
Sallie from A Quiet, Simple Life writes:
The back cover describes the book as “a reader-friendly guide to the life and teachings of the Jesus of the Gospels.
I can think of no worthier pursuit than to better understand the life and teachings of Jesus.
Our Simple Blog Hop Guidelines
You’re invited to share your original homeschooling, homemaking, and parenting posts that offer practical ideas for homeschooling moms. You do not have to be a current homeschooling mom to participate. We ask that you abide by a few simple guidelines, understanding the hosts may delete posts that fall outside these guidelines.
- Share up to three (3) family-friendly posts each week
- Share content you’ve created yourself
- Include only posts in which you own the photos or you have legally acquired them
- Do not share links to posts featuring blog hops, giveaways, or deals/coupons
- Keep the blog hop fresh and interesting by only sharing a particular post once every six months
- Encourage other participants and hosts by leaving comments on a few posts each week and telling them you found their post via the blog hop
- Understand that by linking up to the hop, you’re granting permission to link back to your post and share one photo if you’re featured the next week
