I share links and ideas to encourage other mothers: to seek the Lord first in all things, to thrive in motherhood and family life, and instill a love of country in our children.

"What You Say Matters"

Words and ideas are powerful things.

I overheard my father speaking to someone about me once. He said, "My son is the most honest person I know."

For twenty years, I have heard this in my head and aspired to living up to this. Words are powerful things.

You can't always control what you hear, but you can control what you say.

Speak the truth.

Speak in love.

Use the weapon of your words to help others aspire to greatness.
Having More Than We Need to Endure

"To paraphrase the last part: Christ’s comfort is so abundant that it is more than I even dream I need to endure my circumstances."

Do all the good you can,
By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as ever you can.

If you're feeling low on the cultural & political front, this is going to give you some encouragement:

We are looking for potential colleges for my son, who is a high school junior.

I found a brand new, local classical college within an hour of us, and emailed to find out their mask and jab policy.

I literally squealed in delight with the reply of the Director of Admissions:

"I'm pleased to say that we have no mandatory vaccine policy (in fact, our founder, Bob Luddy, was part of one of the parties to the case that was recently won at the Supreme Court), and we are mask-optional, trusting students to use their best judgment regarding their own health and any risks they may pose to others as we have been doing in this country for a long time."

Please put Thales College in North Carolina on your radar:

“THESE are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman.

Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.

What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives everything its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as FREEDOM should not be highly rated.”

~ Thomas Paine
It's so encouraging to see the swarms of people at the March for Life today!

Imago Dei. Amen.
A few of my children have really struggled with spelling and learning phonics.

This is a helpful (free!) set of phonics posters from All About Learning.

(FYI: This is my affiliate link. The posters are free!)
We have a winter wonderland! ❄️😍
The culture and government schools are only going to become more and more degenerate. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the only solution here.

Parents can no longer be passive and let government schools raise our children. It doesn't turn out well. ⬇️⬇️
