Days of Creation Coloring Pages with Handwriting Practice

This packet includes 9 total Creation story coloring pages for your young ones.
Included in this Genesis 1 coloring set:
- 7 Days of Creation cover page – use this if you’d like to bind down the edge to make an actual coloring book
- Day 1 – Light and Dark — Genesis 1: 3-5
- Day 2 – Sky and Waters — Genesis 1: 6,8
- Day 3 – Seas and Dry Land — Genesis 1: 9-10
- Day 3 – Plants and Trees — Genesis 1: 9
- Day 4 – Sun, Moon, and Stars — Genesis 1: 14,16
- Day 5 – Animals of Sea and Air — Genesis 1: 20
- Day 6 – Land Animals and Humans — Genesis 1: 24,26
- Day 7 – God rested — Genesis 2: 2-3
Please note that Day 3 includes two coloring pages. Day 3 includes dry land, seas, and plants, which is too much to fit onto one piece of paper.

These worksheets offer a nice, large coloring page, along with a corresponding Bible Verse at the top of the page and an area for handwriting practice at the bottom of the page.
After completing the coloring pages, you could use these pages to have the children tell the Creation story back to you. This is a method of review that we often use in our homeschool!

➡️ Don’t miss the set of Adam and Eve Coloring Pages! These two Genesis coloring sets complement each other quite well.
Ideas for Using Creation Story Coloring Pages
There are a variety of ways you can use these Creation story coloring pages in your homeschool, Sunday School class, or Christian school classroom. Here are a few ideas to get you started!
- Study the Days of Creation account over two weeks, reading the story in its entirety, and then allotting one Day of Creation to a day in your homeschool or classroom. Your sequence could look like this:
Week 1:
Monday – read entire story
Tuesday – read Day 1 and complete Day 1 coloring page
Wednesday – read Day 2 and complete Day 2 coloring page
and so on! - If you have multiple children, have your children teach you in the correct sequence using the picture clues and verses on each page. Assign each child one or two Days to teach you or a sibling.
- Bind the pages down the side coloring book-style, using the cover page as the first page. Use the packet as review.
- In a Sunday School or classroom setting, one student can color each day of Creation and then assemble a class book or group book.
