My 5 year old is still working on sounding out CVC words. Since learning to read is a bit slow-going, I have my eye out for many different resources to help her with these CVC words until they click!

She and I are slowly working our way through All About Reading Level 1, which takes up the bulk of our school time most days.
I like to have a few reinforcement activities for her, and this set of Fall Color by CVC Words worksheets are just right for her!

Thanks for all the great printables! And CONGRATULATIONS! I’m sure you have all our utmost sympathy and support. Hopefully you will be feeling better soon!
ps I found some really great (free sample) reading games on the All About Reading website. Your daughter might enjoy them as much as my son is. We printed out the duck pond, fried egg, and flip book ones. Even my (dyslexic) 8 yr old is excited to play.
Thank you, Brenda! Oh yes, the freebies over at All About Reading are GREAT, aren’t they?! I’ve used AAR with three of my children and I just love how the concepts are presented. I’m a big fan. 🙂
I have downloaded A LOT of your materials, but this is by far my favorite. Can you make more color by CVC word worksheets for Winter, Spring, and Summer? Please?!
I am so glad you and your kiddos like them, Ashleigh! I have about a million and one color by code worksheets in progress. Well, maybe not a million…but a LOT. Color by CVC, Color by CVCe, Color by Coin, Color by Addition or Subtraction…this list goes on and on! I have a Valentine’s Maze coming out in the next day or two that will have CVC words also, so be on the lookout for that!
And yes, I will put Color by CVC for the rest of the seasons on my to-do list. 🙂
Thank you for being a reader here at Mama’s!
