I am currently teaching 9th grade for the third time this year, however, I only have two years of 9th Grade Homeschool Curriculum Ideas to share with you. My oldest boy was in private school 7th through 9th grades, so I had very little say in his subjects those years. I share my oldest girl’s 9th grade choices, which you will see below.
That brings us to my middle girl’s 9th grade year, and it seems I did not post her ninth grade homeschool curriculum plans for you all to see. Time just got away from me that year. I had an 11th grade, 9th grade, 7th grader, and 1st grader so I am certain I was busy just keeping my head above water!

This year, 2025-2026, I will have my fourth child in 9th grade, and it will be my 3rd time to teach it. 9th grade is a challenging year in many aspects: it is a hard year emotionally for my children as they transition from young teen years into middle teen years and it is a hard year academically as we start high school course work.
So I give much, much grace the 9th grade year in light of these facts!
I explain each 9th grade homeschool curriculum choice in detail in the posts, however, feel free to ask if you have questions. I am happy to answer!

NEW: 9th Grade Homeschool Curriculum Ideas for 2025-2026!🎉

In this homeschool year, I changed things up a bit with my typical science and Christian Studies curriculum, as I found curriculum that is a better fit for this current 9th grader. It is still a full Christian Classical selection of choices, but with a few tweaks from previous ideas!
