These bee cutting practice worksheets give preschool and kindergarten children a fun way to strengthen their scissor skills while completing simple picture puzzles. Each of the 10 printable pages includes a bee-themed picture to cut apart along the dotted lines and glue back together in the box above. Use this free one-click download during a bee unit study, spring learning week, fine-motor center, or quiet morning work.
I originally created these pages while my girls and I were reading The Bee Tree by Patricia Polacco (affiliate link). The book makes a lovely read-aloud companion, but these worksheets can be used with any bee, insect, or pollination study.
Oh the marvelous bee conversations we’ve had!

What’s Included in the Bee Cutting Practice Worksheets
This printable set includes 10 bee-themed cut-and-paste picture puzzles. Each page contains a complete picture in the lower box divided by dotted cutting lines.
Children cut along the dotted lines to create several puzzle pieces. They then use the small guide picture in the upper corner to arrange and glue the pieces into the blank box.
The familiar bee, hive, honey, and flower pictures make these pages an easy addition to a bee, insect, pollination, or spring study.
How to Use This Bee Cutting Activity
Print one worksheet at a time and give your child a pair of scissors and a glue stick. Have your child cut along the dotted lines, mix up the pieces, and then rebuild the picture in the box at the top of the paper.
For a child who is just beginning to use scissors, cut the large picture box away from the rest of the worksheet first. This gives the child a smaller piece of paper to hold and turn while cutting.
Use These Pages with a Bee Unit Study
I originally made these worksheets while my girls and I were reading The Bee Tree by Patricia Polacco. It is a delightful story to pair with a bee-themed week, but you do not need the book to use this printable.
Combine the cutting pages with bee life cycle worksheets, nonfiction bee books, a bee picture dictionary, or a simple lesson about pollination for an easy themed learning day.
