There are several times during our homeschool year where I try to coordinate by topic. Depending on the holiday or season, we’ll have every subject point to the same theme – science, history, copywork, reading, and any other subject I can incorporate!
And what better topic is there than Jesus in these days leading up to Resurrection Sunday?!
Instead of our regular copywork this week, my kiddos are going to work on these verses from the book of Matthew.
Feel free to download and enjoy with your own kiddos!
Copywork: Matthew 28:5-6
In this portion of Scripture, the angel is speaking to the women at the tomb, explaining that Jesus is not inside. He has risen, just as he promised!
My 9 year old will write these verses twice and my 8 year old will write these verses once over the course of two days.
My 4 and 5 year olds will practice writing the words Jesus, angel, and tomb.
Copywork, especially writing Scripture, is such a wonderful way to seal these Words in our hearts. I love this method for my children and for me!
Note that the ESV and NIV were almost identical, so I didn’t include separate translations. You’ll also find KJV in this download.
