Cloud letter find worksheets are a simple way to give preschool and early kindergarten children extra practice with letter recognition. Each page focuses on one letter at a time, giving children a chance to trace the focus letter and then find and mark the matching letters inside the clouds below. Use these pages during a weather unit, spring theme, summer stormy day, or anytime your young learner needs extra alphabet review.
Each worksheet is print-and-go, so it works well for morning work, Letter of the Week practice, preschool centers, or quick independent work.

What’s Included in the Cloud Letter Find Worksheets
Each page in this cloud-themed letter find packet includes:
- One focus letter per page
- Uppercase and lowercase letter practice
- Letter tracing at the top of the page
- Cloud-shaped letters to find and mark
- Simple black-and-white pages for easy printing
Children can trace the focus letter first, then mark each matching letter in the clouds. They can use crayons, pencils, Do-a-Dot markers, counters, buttons, or small manipulatives to cover the correct letters.
How We Used these Letter Find Worksheets
Even though my son is in second grade and knows the letter sounds, he enjoyed “editing” my worksheets for me using Do-a-Dot markers to mark each letter.
I instructed him to dot the focus letter of the page and then go over every other letter, saying its sound aloud.
When we got to the vowels, I had him say the both the short and long sound of each.
I bought a set of Do-a-Dot markers 12 years ago, and even with heavy use they are still going strong! They certainly last year after year.

More Ways to Use These Letter Find Worksheets
These letter find worksheets are flexible enough to use in several different ways:
- Preschool alphabet practice: Choose the page that matches the letter you are currently teaching.
- Letter of the Week review: Add one page to your weekly alphabet folder.
- Weather unit study: Pair these cloud pages with books about clouds, rain, or weather.
- Morning work: Use one page as a quick, independent start to the day.
- Fine motor practice: Let children mark the letters with crayons, Do-a-Dot markers, buttons, or counters.
- Letter sound review: After your child finds the letters, say the letter sound together. For vowels, you can practice both the short and long sounds.
Your student can color the cloud with the matching letter or use any manipulative you have on hand – bear counters, animal counters, buttons, dry beans, coins, game pieces. Anything will do!

What Skills Do Letter Find Worksheets Practice?
Letter find worksheets may look simple, but they give young learners several important early literacy skills in one page. Children practice identifying a focus letter, noticing the difference between similar-looking letters, and matching uppercase or lowercase forms.
These pages also give children handwriting practice as they trace the focus letter at the top of each worksheet. When children mark the matching letters in the clouds, they are also working on visual discrimination and attention to detail.
For extra practice, say the letter name and sound together before your child begins. After the page is finished, ask your child to point to the focus letter one more time and say its sound aloud.
I love it when one activity covers a variety of skills!
