How to Use Printable Activities in Your Homeschool
Different types of printable activities can serve different purposes in your homeschool. Some days, you may need a worksheet that reviews a specific skill. Other days, your child may need a puzzle-style activity or a different way to practice familiar material.
Color by code pages can provide phonics or math review while your child completes a picture. Word searches work well for spelling, vocabulary, phonics, Bible lessons, and subject review. Hidden pictures offer an enjoyable independent activity, while calendar worksheets provide regular practice with dates, days of the week, and months of the year.
This has been my method for 16+ years: Print several different activity types ahead of time and keep them in a folder on your school desk. This gives you a few ready-to-use choices for review days, lighter homeschool days, or times when one child needs to work independently.
