Spring Color by Number worksheets are a fun way for young learners to practice early math skills while enjoying a simple coloring activity. This printable packet includes 16 spring-themed color by number pages designed for preschool, kindergarten, and early first grade students. Half of the worksheets focus on number recognition, while the others practice simple addition and subtraction facts up to 12.
Because the packet includes two skill levels, it works well for homes or classrooms with multiple ages and stages. Younger children can practice recognizing numbers and colors, while older learners strengthen their beginning math facts.
I have a ton of color by number worksheets here at Mama’s Learning Corner, mainly because my girls love them so much. Even my oldest girl (almost 10) still loves color by number pages, and she enjoyed the Valentine’s Day Color By Number Multiplication packet. You’re never told old for fun learning!
Today, I have a wonderful packet of Spring Color By Number Worksheets for your Preschooler, Kindergartner, and First Grader. It includes two types of Color By Number pages:
— Simple numbers to practice number and color recognition; for example blue = 2, green = 7, etc.
— Simple addition and subtraction equations with sums up to 12

🌷 Take a few moments to browse through all of the printable spring worksheets here at Mama’s Learning Corner! You will find more color by code, math and phonics worksheets, pattern block mats, writing prompts, and more.

I’m always on the lookout for fresh ways to use worksheets and printables. Here are a few ideas if you’re in a rut!
- If you have children that are stuck learning addition and subtraction facts, take a few days off of your regular math curriculum and seal in those math facts. These sheets have a lot of equations on each page, so I would suggest only assigning 1 page per day while you’re taking a curriculum break.
- Math curriculum in the younger years often takes a break from learning math facts while the learner focuses on another topic – telling time or geometry, for example. Keep those math facts fresh by assigning either a few colors on one page each day, or assigning the entire page. It pays to keep math facts fresh on the brain.
- Some children just love color by number so much that they could not care less that math facts are included. This would be the case with my #2 and #4 children. Keep a stack handy if you have one of those kiddos!
- Use these for the “I’m bored” times, which inevitably happen close to supper time. Or save these for a rainy day when there’s nothing else to do.
- Keep a set of these on a clipboard in the car. Pull out the clipboard and a pack of Twistables (they don’t melt and aren’t messy like markers), when you’re traveling. Or keep them in the car when you know you’ll have to wait awhile, such as at a doctor’s appointment or the car line if you have big kids in school.
I love clipboards with storage for just this very reason!
