Winter Alphabet Tracing Worksheets
Most children need ample amounts of practice with writing letters and numbers. Of my five children, there are three that needed direct and focused attention on writing letters. There is nothing wrong with needing extra practice to learn a skill – and handwriting is definitely a skill! Take some time to plan for that as you think about how your school day should flow.
Other children need much practice with recognizing letters and understanding their letter sounds. This set of Winter Alphabet Tracing Worksheets is just one way to practice letters and letter sounds, so make sure you add this packet to your arsenal of phonics and handwriting activities!

In this packet, you will find winter-themed alphabet letter strips from A to Z, in both uppercase and lowercase letters. The letters are divided between the upper and lowercase set, so you can easily print the set that is needed right now.

How to Use These Winter Alphabet Tracing Worksheets
I recommend printing the Winter Alphabet Tracing Strips on cardstock, and then depending on your use, laminating them for durability. If you are going to use them as a regular worksheet, plain copy paper is best.
There are a multitude of ways to use these winter letter strips in your homeschool or classroom. Here are a few ideas to get you started, which are also included in the printable packet for easy reference.
❄️ Print on copy paper for one time use with a pencil, as you would a regular tracing activity.
❄️ Print and place in a page protector and provide dry erase markers for repeated use. This is a perfect activity to place in your child’s Daily Calendar Notebook and change out each week for variety.
❄️ Laminate each page and cut apart the strips. Place them on a ring to keep them together, which also makes them portable. Place a selection of these in your child’s daily workbox, or place them in your classroom learning centers. Trace with dry erase markers.

❄️ If you choose to laminate and cut into strips, choose just one strip. Match it with the same letter set from the ABC Puzzle Cards. Do you see other items in the room that begin or end with the same letter sound? Brainstorm together!
❄️ There are a variety of alphabet activities at Mama’s Learning Corner. Browse through the activities and choose another idea to practice the same letter. Packets include Do-a-Dot letter matching, alphabet bingo, alphabet letter writing, and much more!
