Description

On This Day in American History January Calendar

Download a full month of American History events that occurred during the month of January!  This is such a manageable, bite-size way to learn about American History.

Each day lists one event that helped shape American History.  In addition to the event, you’ll find activities that your children can do that supplement learning about the event.

Activities include reading primary source texts, watching short videos, filling in diagrams, making lists, writing paragraphs, defining words, brainstorming, and more.

Activities can be done as a group, such as during a Homeschool Morning Time or Power Hour (whatever you choose to call it!), or assigned as an independent activity for upper elementary and middle school students.  High school students would also enjoy the events and many of the assigned activities!

When you purchase this January Calendar, you will receive:

  • Access to the webpage with all of the January events listed, including all suggested activities for each daily event.
  • A .pdf of the January Calendar, listed in chronological order with all suggested activities
  • All necessary downloads to complete the assigned activities.  These same downloads are linked on the webpage, however, they are also included here for easy access.
  • The answers to any questions asked in the daily activities.

Note that this purchase only includes the January calendar.  All monthly calendars must be purchased separately.
