This Zacchaeus coloring page packet is a simple way to help children walk through the Bible story of Zacchaeus from Luke 19:1–10. Each page includes a portion of Scripture, a coloring picture, and handwriting practice, making it useful for homeschool Bible time, Sunday School, Christian classrooms, or children’s church. Since the verses are included right on the pages, children can color, listen, copy, and retell the story over several short lessons.
In the early years of homeschooling, I figured out that I could use coloring pages as a tool to help my children learn. While my oldest boy hated to color – as does my youngest boy! – my three middle girls loved coloring. They still do, even though they are all much older now!
If your children enjoy coloring, I would encourage you to pair coloring activities with any and all activities that you can. Choose coloring pages that go with the history or science that you are reading aloud. If you’re able to find coloring pages related to the book you’re reading, great! Those were always a treat when I could find those in the early years.
This set Zacchaeus Coloring Page Packet is the perfect supplement to your Bible study. If you have mostly littles, you can study the Bible account of Zacchaeus this week using just these coloring sheets and a Bible!
These Bible coloring pages are just right for a variety of learning environments – home, Sunday School lessons, a Christian classroom, or homeschool co-op.

Zacchaeus Coloring Page Packet for Bible Lessons
Whether you teach Sunday School, work in a Christian school, or need ideas for your homeschool Bible time, these Zacchaeus coloring page set will be a great fit!
Like my other Bible coloring pages, this set features a Bible verse at the top of each page that corresponds to the picture. Note that the Bible verses are recorded in the English Standard Version.
There is also a space to practice writing a word associated with the verse and picture.
Even though my youngest – currently 5 years old – doesn’t like to color, I will use the pictures this week as we study Zacchaeus. Even though he knows the Bible story well, I will use the Bible verses at the top of the page to tell the story to him a few days in a row, and then we will use the same pages for him to tell the story to me the other days.
Being able to retell, or narrate, a story in the correct sequence in a valuable skill. I use familiar Bible stories, nursery rhymes, and well-read stories to practice this type of skill.
Note that this Bible account is from Luke 19:1-10.

How to Use These Zacchaeus Coloring Pages
These pages work well spread over several short Bible lessons. You could read Luke 19:1–10 together first, then use one or two coloring pages each day as you walk through the story.
Here are a few simple ways to use the packet in your own homeschool:
- Read the verse at the top of the page before your child colors.
- Talk about what is happening in the picture.
- Have your child trace or copy the handwriting word at the bottom.
- After several pages are complete, place them in story order.
- Let your child use the pictures to retell the story of Zacchaeus in his own words.
This makes the packet useful for more than coloring alone. It can also help children practice listening, remembering details, sequencing events, and telling a Bible story back in order. Those are all important skills to master in the elementary years!

What Bible Verse Goes with the Story of Zacchaeus?
The Bible story of Zacchaeus is found in Luke 19:1–10. This is the account of Zacchaeus climbing the sycamore tree to see Jesus, Jesus calling him by name, and Zacchaeus responding with repentance and then restitution.
The coloring pages in this packet use short portions from Luke 19 so children can connect each picture with the Bible passage. This is especially helpful if you want to read the story over several days instead of all at one time during your Bible Time.
