These patriotic number tracing worksheets give your young learner extra practice with number writing from 0 to 50. Each strip includes a number to trace with a red, white, and blue patriotic theme.
This set works well for Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Veterans Day, Presidents’ Day, Election Day, or any U.S.A. themed learning week. Print only the numbers your child is ready to practice, or use the full set for review. Keep reading for more ideas!
If you have read here at Mama’s Learning Corner for long, you know that I intentionally teach my children to love our Land of the Free. Years ago, I wrote about How to Create a Patriotic Homeschool, so make sure to take a peek at that if you also have a desire to teach your children about America.

What’s Included in the Patriotic Number Tracing Worksheets
In this packet, you will find patriotic number strips from 0 to 50. If your young ones are only working on numbers 0 to 10, simply print the number strips that you need.
Note that there are several blank strips on the last page for your child to practice as needed.
I included a wide range of numbers since most children learn at least through 20 – and often through the number 50 – in Kindergarten.
How to Use These Patriotic Number Tracing Strips
There are many ways to use these patriotic number tracing strips in your own homeschool. Here are a few ideas to get you started!
🇺🇸 Print on copy paper for one time use with a pencil, as you would a regular tracing activity.
🇺🇸 Print and place in a page protector and provide dry erase markers for repeated use. This is a perfect activity to place in your child’s Daily Calendar Notebook and change out each week for variety.
🇺🇸 Laminate each page and cut apart the strips. Place them on a ring to keep them together, which also makes them portable. Place a selection of these in your child’s daily workbox, or place them in your classroom learning centers. Trace with dry erase markers.

🇺🇸 If you choose to laminate and cut into strips, choose one strip. Match it with a Printable Number Card. Build the number with any math manipulative you have on hand, but Math-U-See style place value blocks work best for this activity, in my opinion.
You can also have your child match the number to the number word.

🇺🇸 Choose a number strip and practice writing the number. Then brainstorm items that come in that amount or are grouped in that amount.
For example, choose the number 8. What comes in groups of 8? Choices might include a pack of hot dogs, a pack of crayons, a pack of pencils, the legs of a spider, 8 pints in a gallon.
