The American Flag Reading Comprehension Worksheet

Reading about the American Flag never gets old to those of us who are patriotic Americans!  It’s important the we consistently teach our children about our American heritage, and that includes our beautiful U.S. Flag.

This American Flag Reading Comprehension worksheet is just one of many ways I instill a love and appreciation of our country in my children.  I look for ways to consistently teach them about our Land of the Free and Home of the Brave.  Little projects like this are a fun way to mix up the regular homeschool week, which teaching my children about the American Flag.

The American Flag Reading Comprehension Worksheet

While we do work through specific homeschool curriculum here at the Hill House, I do often sprinkle in my own worksheets, printables, and interactive activities.  The same old thing goes old day after day, so I like to keep things a bit more fresh.

Activities like these reading comprehension worksheets are just right for adding a small bit of spice to the day.

Of course, you can make this an independent activity for your child.  Just grab a book from the library (ideas below!), and this can be a great activity for your child to work through himself.

The Think About It questions at the bottom of the page are meant to be talked about, so make sure you don’t skip those!  I always love to hear my children’s answers for those types of questions.
