Sight Words Matching Puzzle Cards: Pre-Primer
This set of matching puzzle cards focuses on the pre-primer dolch set of sight words.
There are many ways to use these puzzle cards which are included in the download. Here are a few ideas to get you started:
→ Simple Matching – Simply match sight word to sight word.
→ As Writing Practice – After your students make matches, have them write the word on paper or dry erase board. Set a goal of matching and writing 3 cards (or 5 or 7)
→ Group by Beginning Letter – After matching all of the cards, have students sort them by beginning letter
→ Place in Alphabetical Order – After students match 3 sets of cards, assist them in putting the cards in alphabetical order
→ As Review – Once students have mastered this set of sight words, use these cards as a fun review. And then move on to the Primer Puzzle Cards (coming soon!)
