How to Use These 2nd Grade Handwriting Worksheets
I have included a page of suggestions in the front of the packet, so make sure you don’t miss that in the download. I will list several of those learning ideas here to get your own ideas flowing in how you might use these worksheets.
- Use this packet to practice capitalization and punctuation. Review the three types of end marks and that every sentence should start with a capital letter.
- For older students, identify all of the nouns or the verb in the sentence. Choose a method of marking these two parts of speech. You could choose to underline every noun and circle every verb.
- Determine the subject and predicate of the sentence. If you are introducing simple sentence diagramming, have your child draw a vertical line between the subject and the predicate. Another option is to have your students underline the subject of the sentence once and the predicate twice.
And yet another option is to have your student underline the simple subject once and the simple predicate twice. - Print pages and place in a 3-ring binder. Use pages each day as Morning Work.
