Get your printers ready, Mamas. This week is going to be a dream come true for your transportation loving children!
Throughout the week, I’m posting a variety of transportation worksheets and activities for your young learners. So make sure you check back often!
Transportation coloring pages, transportation cutting pages, and transportation worksheets for Kindergarten and First Grade are headed your way!
Today, we’re starting off with a super fun set of Transportation Puzzle Cards.
Transportation Puzzle Cards
This set of transportation puzzle cards includes 17 2-part cards for your young learner to match.
I intended to use these only with my 4 year old, but my Kindergartner loved them just as much!
Not only are these cards a great opportunity for matching, but you can use them for a variety of activities.
♥ Match 2 sets of cards and incorrectly match 2 more sets. Have your child point out which sets are matched incorrectly.
♥ Sort the vehicles by color
♥ Sort the vehicles by kind
♥ Choose one of the vehicles and make up a story about it! Where are you going? Who is with you? Are you driving? When will you return?
♥ Sort the vehicles that don’t have wheels
♥ Name the vehicle and then brainstorm rhyming words. For example, you child chooses ‘truck’. Then brainstorm all the words that rhyme with ‘truck’. (stuck, muck, pluck, duck, and so on)
♥ Count the number of matches
What other activities can you think of?
(Yes, that is mama’s coffee that made it into the picture. 😉 )
→ Note that this set of Transportation Puzzle Cards is free for personal or classroom use. Have fun!
